Climate Action Meeting

Toronto350.org is Tkaronto’s local branch of 350.org, the international #climatejustice organization. Our goal is to raise awareness about the climate crisis and advocate for the #GlobalEnergyTransition.

ANYONE & EVERYONE IS WELCOME & ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND OUR MEETINGS! 🙂 Space is wheelchair accessible.

Every week we hold a meeting open to anyone interested, in which we discuss and develop strategies for #civicengagement and the implementation of our responsibilities under the #ParisClimateAgreement and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (#UNDRIP).

If you haven’t signed up as a Toronto350.org subscriber, this is one of the best ways to stay up-to-date with what we’re up to, and to get involved when we have events, actions, and volunteer opportunities!

Sign up at https://www.toronto350.org/volunteer today!

Recently, we have been working with our members and supporters to create an efficient group structure to hit our goals for 2019 out of the park! We’re in the process of developing our strategy and tactics for our soon-to-be-finalized campaign focuses, and encourage anyone interested in a #GreenNewDeal for Canada, phasing out #fossilfuels, #indigenousrights and #reconciliation, the implementation of #renewableenergy, and/or the #conservation of #endangeredspecies and #biodiversity, to join us at our weekly meetings!

Climate Justice Peel: Organizing Meeting

Join Climate Justice Peel for our next organizing meeting on Wednesday Sept 18th from 6:00-8:00 PM to strategize on how we can build power and push for a GND in the suburbs. The organizing meeting will also include a mini “GND 101 workshop” with a guest speaker. It’s high time that Mississauga and Brampton—two of the three cities in the Peel region—began a climate justice movement of its own. See you there!

Location will be confirmed soon.(If you have trouble finding us, text 647-705-5942)
