Resource Movement – Toxic Toronto Walking Tour, Part 2

Every month or so, the Toronto Resource Movement Chapter meets up with new, old, and interested members to connect, learn and take action.

This November, we will experience (another!) part of the Toxic Toronto Tour developed by the Mining Injustice Solidarity Network.
The tour untangles the secret webs of power and money that connect Toronto to some of the most harmful and toxic mining and extractive projects around the world. Note: This tour stands on its own, so no need to have seen Part 1!

The details are:
Time: Thursday, November 7, from 6 pm to 8 pm.
Location: southeast corner of Nathan Phillip Square, around the concrete picnic tables.
As usual, our Chapter meetups are an awesome way to check out RM, whether you identify as having access to wealth/class privilege or not. The agenda will be roughly as follows
Arrival, intros & RM chapter business
Toxic Tour, Part 2
Gathering inside a warm food court to debrief and chat (masked, for Covid safety)
Access notes:
Participating in the tour requires about 45 min to 1 hr of active walking with standing breaks at each stop. (If this is a barrier, please reach out. RMTO can provide some camping chairs for seating at each location or other access.)
Feel free to come for all or part of the gathering! (Meeting spot and chit-chat location will be shared ahead of time.)
We will provide snacks, but not a full dinner. Bring your own water bottle or tea in a tumbler.
Please let us know of your access needs in the registration.
