TransformTO Net Zero Strategy Action Plan 2026-2030
The City of Toronto is currently seeking input on actions under consideration for the next Action Plan of the TransformTO Net Zero Strategy, the City of Toronto’s community-wide climate strategy. The Net Zero Strategy has a target of net zero greenhouse gas emissions, community-wide, by 2040. The next Action Plan for the Strategy will cover the period 2026 to 2030, including the interim target of a 65 per cent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 (from the 1990 baseline).
The City conducted previous public consultations between 2016 and 2021 to inform the development of TransformTO and the first Action Plan. The current public consultation process asks for input from residents to learn more about current actions they are taking, actions they are not taking, barriers they may be facing and supports that might help them overcome those barriers.
