Training: Know your activist rights!

We know how essential civil disobedience and protest are for change, but what can we do to better prepare and keep each other as safe as possible when taking action? Join Greenpeace to learn more about your rights as an activist (that are also applicable when not participating in a protest). This training aims to help folks gain a basic yet essential understanding of how to prepare for your actions, possible police confrontation, some options for what you don’t have to do, and what you might want to do when approached by police. We will discuss your rights if you are detained, arrested, or held in detention as well as the importance of legal and jail support to keep each other safe.

All are welcome!
