The Climate Emergency Just Transition Transfer: A Webinar for Local Government Leaders

The Climate Emergency Unit and Climate Caucus invite you to attend a one-hour online informational briefing about a potentially transformative policy idea to fund municipal climate infrastructure.

This session is intended for people who work in the municipal sector. Come learn about the proposal for a new federal Just Transition Transfer: What is it? How could it solve key climate policy challenges? And how might it represent a source of significant, stable long-term funding for vital community climate infrastructure?

When: Tuesday, May 2. 10:00am PT / 11:00am MDT / 1:00pm ET / 2:00pm AT

This will be a Zoom meeting.

  • CEU Team Lead Seth Klein will offer a short briefing about the JTT
  • Panel of community leaders: Dave Thompson (Victoria City Councillor); Christine Boyle (Vancouver City Councillor); Mike Layton (former Toronto City Councillor); and others TBC
