Sketch your tree
Everyone has an animal, a patronus (🧙) that reflects their inner personality, but not everyone has a spirit or inner tree.
Sketch your tree, live with guidance from the trained artist, Nevra Gursoy. Registration link is in bio.
This workshop celebrates trees, what they represent and drawing our Spirit Trees to identify which one(s) we relate to the most. This workshop is inspired by the current book the Book Club is reading: The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben. Peter writes about the uncanny abilities of trees to communicate, to defend themselves, and to nourish one another. Trees are social beings, like humans, and they often reflect humans characteristics.
Nevra Gursoy is an urban artist and an urban planner. ‘City’ is her passion and she enjoys discovering the possibilities of sketching and painting. She uses her urban planning perspective to explore distinctive parts of cities and then to form her artworks.
Her favorite thing to do when she travels is to walk through the city streets to feel the atmosphere and soul of the city, then sketch it.
