About this event:
At this meeting, you’ll have an opportunity to provide input into the climate actions and priorities in the City’s next TransformTO Implementation Plan 2021 to 2023.
The purpose of the Plan is to identify climate actions and priorities for 2021 to 2023 that will:
– further reduce emissions in key sectors and support the achievement of the City’s greenhouse gas reduction targets
– improve climate resilience
– maximize benefits to the community.
To learn more about TransformTO, visit www.toronto.ca/transformto.
In 2017, Toronto City Council unanimously approved TransformTO, the City’s climate action strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 80 percent of 1990 levels by 2050. Reaching this target will require transformative changes in how we travel, build, use energy, and manage waste. The City invites Toronto residents toprovide input on the next set of short-term climate actions from 2021-2023 that will support those transformations.
