Environment Seminar Series: Hydrating Human Rights with Professor Rhett Larson

About the Seminar

Virtually every human right intersects with water policy, including freedom of religion, freedom from racial or gender discrimination, and the rights of indigenous peoples. Water policy influences the numerous human rights issues surrounding war, epidemics, mass migration, and climate change. In this presentation, Professor Rhett Larson will discuss how water policy impacts human rights, and the role a human right to water might play in advancing or inhibiting water security.

About the Speaker

Rhett Larson is the Richard Morrison Professor of Water Law at Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. His work focuses on domestic and international water law and policy.
