Our focus in Part 2 is on practice and experiential learning of the concepts presented in Part 1, as we work together to decolonize ourselves and develop our skills and empathy in action. Critical analysis and “Calling In” skills are enhanced through DTH original films giving a more immersive, realistic experience of challenging situations.
Decolonization: “Being guided in critically examining the historical, social, economic and political patterns and systems of power that have been formative in developing one’s own and one’s ancestors’ worldview and working to dismantle and transform one’s way of seeing and being in the world.” © 2019 D.M.L.
Our aim is to provide participants with, among other things: the skills they need to de-escalate conflict; call people in rather than out; how to have difficult conversations; how to turn discomfort into learning moments for all.
