Climate Change: What Can Be Done? & Opportunities for Large-Scale Action

About this event

Climate Change Impacts and Opportunity for Large-Scale Action

Before attending this online event, we invite everyone to view our set of four short videos, which are shown at this link: Climate Change: What Can Be Done? Opportunities for Large-Scale Climate Action. These videos highlight current climate change trends, the impacts of these trends and opportunities large-scale climate action.

We will begin our event with a brief discussion about the latest news about rising greenhouse gas levels and why the UN is stating that countries “must start curbing emissions immediately“. Then we discuss key points about climate change trends and the related impacts. After discussing these impacts, we discuss some significant climate solutions that can be implemented on a large scale. This will include renewable energy with energy storage and hydrogen that can be extracted directly from the earth (Geologic Hydrogen). Then we will discuss how the energy transition to a low-carbon economy can be accelerated with artificial intelligence (AI), Geologic Hydrogen and complementary technologies.

To further outline the very large opportunity of extracting Geologic Hydrogen in Canada, Denis Briere, who is Vice President of Engineering at Chapman Hydrogen and Petroleum Engineering Ltd. will highlight his experience with Geologic Hydrogen in Africa and expected scale of resources in Canada.

Then we will invite members of the audience to ask questions and how they may want to collaborate with us and/or each other to obtain funding and implement large scale climate action.

Event Objectives: Our primary focus of this event is to create awareness of the urgent need for action, opportunities for large-scale climate action and how collaboration can help implement this action.
