CCL Canada Climate Advocate Training – Thursday: April 25, May 2 or May 8, 2024

Since 2010, we have been training Canadian volunteers to lobby for Climate Income. The facts are clear that – carbon pricing is a keystone policy for reducing GHGs, – giving the money back to the people reduces income inequality – other policies are needed to reach liveable world for all. We are getting ready to lobby June 3 and June 4 and throughout June.

In the spring of 2024 our volunteers have chosen to lobby for the following:

– Getting Canada ready for Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanisms

– Improvements to the Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act

– Climate Aligned Finance

– Strong Clean Energy Regulations and regulations for caps in on emissions in the Oil and Gas sector

– Strict limitations on advertising from fossil fuel companies akin to what was done with tobacco
