Can Art Unite Us?

Can Art Unite Us?

Tuesday July 23rd from 4pm – 7:30pm is our Second Annual “Can Art Unite Us?” Celebration.

As the community continues to change, we are asking, what role can art play?

Can art increase community connection? Can it make our communities more inclusive?

Can art amplify the voices of the underrepresented? Can it provide pathways into the political process?

Can art help us celebrate our successes? Can it help us overcome our challenges? Cherish and heal from our pasts? Inspire and envision our futures?

How can MusiciansArtistsDancers, and creatives of all kind help ensure that the community controls its story, past, present and future?

How can art promote local businesses and organizations? How can art partner with local leaders and Government to amplify community voices?

What happens when Art meets Community?

On Tuesday July 23rd Canadian Community Challenge is partnering with Malvern Family Resource Centre to share the ways that we have been working with the community over the past year to answer some of these questions.

The Malvern we love is changing, and we want to make sure that the communities here have as much say and control over that change as possible…THE WRITING IS ON THE WALL (so to speak).
