CALL June Learning Meeting – Biodiversity Conservation: Why does it matter? with Professor Ann Dale

Join CALL on June 5th, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. ET to hear Professor Ann Dale address the critical topic of Biodiversity Conservation: Why does it matter? There is much discussion about the climate crisis. Biodiversity loss is linked and just as serious as there is no come back from extinction! But why is biodiversity so important to humanity and what can we do to halt and then reverse its loss?

Our featured speaker, Professor Ann Dale, has led a major climate change adaptation and mitigation research project in British Columbia and is a co-investigator on four other SSHRC funded grants. Her newest research is exploring governance for a carbon neutral society. Join us when Professor Dale will talk about solutions, from those in our backyards, to nature-based ones, to policy changes by governments.
