This training will build on the concepts, skills and strategies introduced in the 1st Advocacy Training session on April 5th recording

and the April 18th Dr. Mark Jacobson presentation, Beyond Gas: Ontario’s Energy Future, with speakers Gaby Kalapos of Ontario Clean Air Partnership and Jack Gibbons of Ontario Clean Air Alliance.

– content for meetings for each of the levels of government

– what is a doable ask for each level of government

– specific outline for an advocacy meeting – agenda planning

– follow up from an advocacy meeting

– role play practice your skills with a pretend political representative (this is fun!)

– your questions

– check in with how the setting up of the meetings is going.

– what support is needed – how can we be the most effective as possible
