Nature Guelph is pleased to welcome Jeremy Shute as our May guest speaker and host this talk in collaboration with the 2Rivers Festival! Jeremy Shute and his family are paddling re-furbished cedar canvas canoes downstream from Guelph’s Speed River as far as they can make it. Jeremy will talk about the waterways they are taking, some of the history, ecology and geography of the route, and will share stories and photos of the journey. He is doing the trip in sections, paddling from Guelph to Niagara falls in 2017, from the Niagara River to Rochester, NY in 2018, and from PIttsford, NY to Sackets Harbour in 2019. With three more sections to go, they plan to reach the Atlantic in the early 2020s. Jeremy will host a Q&A following his presentation.
