2021 Emergency Food Forum
For the past 2 years, people from around Ontario have gathered to discuss shared concerns and issues with our current industrial food system. Last year, these discussions gave rise to concerted actions and collaborative initiatives such as the Open Letter, an open call to governments to support healthy equitable local food systems through policy, and the Eco-Just Food Network, a grassroots network to actively build a local food system within the GTA.
This April, on three Wednesday evenings, the Emergency Food Forum convenes again to build on the lessons and momentum of 2020. The 3-day series of forums are geared towards action and concrete solutions to our broken food system on:
- Wednesday April 14th, 6:30-9:00pm
- Wednesday April 21st, 6:30-9:00pm
- Wednesday April 28th, 6:30-9:00pm
We invite everyone who is ready to roll up their sleeves and work towards a future where food is a human right and growing food is an exercise in earth stewardship.
Each evening will build on the previous one, so you will find it more fruitful to join at the beginning and stay for as long as you like.
Once registered, please fill out our survey in your registration confirmation email. It is important for us to capture this data for use in curating our event.
The future is what we make it and we will not wait for permission!
