Climate Justice Toronto July Orientation

Over the last year, CJTO has organized in support for tenants on rent strike through the @yswtenantunion, who recently won a 5.3% rent reduction amounting to $3M in collective savings.

This summer, we’re growing our organizing to multiple new buildings with @to.centre.tenants & @yswtenantunion, as part of a fight for rent control, vacancy control, and an end to heaping the costs of the climate crisis on tenants. We know that the path to climate action lies through an organized working-class majority that has the power to win a liveable and just future that works for the many.

Masks are REQUIRED and will be provided at the event for any who may not have their own. The event also has food and drinks provided, so masks may need to be removed periodically by some in attendance.
