Yoga and Meditation for Eco-Anxiety
A series of yoga and meditation classes designed to help alleviate eco-anxiety, and find more peace, joy, and support through community.
These yoga and meditation classes will introduce participants to different breathwork, meditation and yoga asana (movement) techniques to help access more peace, self-compassion and process emotions associated with the climate crisis. Tamara will lead four consecutive sessions on Sundays in February – March at 11 am. Each session will cover a different theme (Community, Insight, Grief & Joy) as well as different grounding, meditation and yoga techniques (Hatha, Yin, Restorative, Vinyasa). Participants are encouraged to attend all four sessions but are welcome to drop-in as needed as well. All are welcome (particularly those who are new to yoga and meditation).
Sessions overview and timing:
Week 1: Community – Sunday, February 12 – 11 AM – 12 PM
Week 2: Insight – Sunday, February 19 – 11 AM – 12 PM
Week 3: Grief & Self- compassion – Sunday, February 26 – 11 AM – 12 PM
Week 4: Joy & gratitude – Sunday, March 5 – 11 AM – 12 PM
These sessions will be virtual/ online. Please wear comfortable clothes (PJs are ok), setup a mat/ towel and have water nearby. Those who register will receive a personalize Zoom link before each session.
