Just Transition Day of Action – Kingston

A Just Transition Day of Action will take place on Saturday, 12 March 2022, in many communities all across Canada. The rapid transition off of fossil fuels onto renewable energy must begin immediately and be at least 50% complete by 2030. This is sure to displace many people who work in the fossil fuel industry and will require a huge workforce to build renewable energy facilities as well as re-insulate almost every home and building across Canada. The main goal of this Day of Action is to emphasize to the government that Canadians demand the government make this legislation a priority and get it passed this year.
