Webinar – Sustainable Shopping: Family Feud Style!

Join the WE-Solation team as we co-host a fun, engaging, family-friendly game show live on Zoom. We’ll be joined by two teams who will test their sustainable shopping knowledge in classic Family Feud style! Following the gameshow, we’ll share our personal recommendations for sustainable shopping here in the city, and answer any questions you may have!

This event is brought to you by Adrianna Couto & Erika Reyes of Inwit, Sophi Robertson of Your Eco Friend, and Lin & Toni of Plasticfree Toronto.

Lin & Toni, Co-founders at PlasticfreeToronto

Lin & Toni are sisters committed to living a socially conscious low-waste lifestyle, and the founders of @plasticfreeTO. Through the power of social media, Lin & Toni aim to inspire others to recognize their impact and take action. They host eco-conscious events and educational workshops in the city, and love the opportunity to speak to youth. By day, Lin works as a model and enjoys discussing sustainability in the fashion industry. Toni works as a family doctor and advocates for access to healthy environments and social justice. They are both excited to tackle this climate crisis one step at a time and create a brighter future!

Sophi Robertson – Your Eco Friend

Sophi lives a low waste lifestyle, since 2016, with her husband and daughter in downtown Toronto. She is a Zero Waste Speaker and Consultant and works for Spent Goods as a Sales & Marketing Coordinator. Sophi shares her journey in trying to live more intentionally on social media @yourecofriend. Her goal is to make a sustainable lifestyle fun, practical and accessible. She strives to educate, inspire and empower people to reach their eco goals through waste reduction and community activism. You can usually find Sophi wearing something yellow and snuggling your pet or dancing by the snacks and laughing a little too loudly.

Adrianna Couto- Inwit

Adrianna has dedicated her life to ventures and organizations working for the betterment of people and the planet, and lives a low-waste lifestyle with her husband and poochie here in Toronto. Last spring, Adrianna launched a waste reduction initiative, Beaches Reduces, to encourage local residents to BYO containers and skip the harmful disposables. Through a collaborative partnership with Erika Reyes, she also co-founded “Zero Waste Cafe”, a monthly eco-speaker series, “Zero Waste Dine & Learn”, a workshop series focused on reducing our carbon footprint, and “Green Sunday”, a holiday market and artistic showcase that encourages consumers to rethink the way they shop by choosing companies with business models that put people and the planet first. Today she is working on the development of Inwit, a startup that aims to make sustainability irresistible to all Torontonians. From organizing and managing local eco-events and shoreline cleanups, to workshop facilitation and public speaking, everything she does is rooted within a deep unrelenting consideration for sustainability and social justice.

Erika Reyes- Inwit

Erika is a creative marketing expert with over 7 years’ international experience in branding and customer behaviour. Erika has worked developing strategic partnerships with over 200 businesses in Mexico, UAE, the U.K. and Canada. In 2018, she started to realize that as a Marketer, her job was to take a “product” and influence, someone, to purchase it. The truth is, little to no thought was spared to the environmental or social impact of the product. She made the choice to leave the Marketing industry in 2019 to dedicate what she learned in that field to help create awareness and alternatives to global environmental issues. Erika has worked developing strategic relationships with 20+ reusables programs across the world, learning the best practices and new strategies in sustainability. In early 2020 she implemented Wisebox, Toronto’s first reusable take out container program city wide. Today she is using all the learnings into the development of Inwit, a startup that aims to make sustainability irresistible to all Torontonians.
