DESCRIPTION:Overview\n\n\n\n\nFree theatre workshop | Explore environmental issues and inspire action with local residents | 2-part workshop series | Oct 1 & 8 2026\n\n\n\n\nStaging Environmental Action: Unequal Green Space, Unequal Environments\nWould you like to build a vision and pathway for Scarborough’s environmental future?\nStaging Environmental Action is a free, hands-on theatre project where creativity meets environmental action.\nWhether you’re passionate about the environment, curious about theatre, or simply looking to connect with your community, this is your chance to make your voice heard. In these workshops led by Toronto and Scarborough theatre artists, explore local environmental issues, learn theatre and storytelling techniques, and join other Scarborough residents in co-creating original theatre pieces inspired by the challenges and possibilities in your neighbourhood.\nExplore 5 environmental themes relevant to Scarborough over a 10-part workshop series (each theme will be unpacked over 2 workshops).\nThe workshop theme for Oct 1 and Oct 8 is Unequal Green Space, Unequal Environments\nHow does environmental inequity impact your Scarborough neighbourhood and community? Do you feel the impact of environmental inequity? Let’s explore lasting solutions together and create environmental justice through movement, play, and theatre.\nWe examine this theme over a two-part workshop series.
