Join a Queens Park MPP breakfast reception and province-wide action calling on the Government of Ontario to bring back a strong, evidence- and target-based provincial climate policy plan to replace Ontario’s recently cancelled climate plan. Enjoy breakfast, hear expert speakers and meet with MPPs immediately following\n \nWith co-hosts CAPE Ontario (Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment) and OCEC (Ontario Climate Emergency Campaign), and our partner organizations, we will be calling on MPPs to support a climate plan that advances public health, energy affordability and sovereignty, Indigenous rights, and secures a liveable future for young people and future generations.\n \nHere’s how to participate:\n\nTo meet with your MPP, please complete this registration form ( https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe5Oke3sTNLwsKYmJE7dc_A_WdFsruN9F4WKJohm3temu5O7w/viewform ). You will have two options:  \n\n\nRequest to meet your own MPP at the Queens Park breakfast reception in person using this template letter ( https://docs.google.com/document/d/1NqYpRWtDSztJJxB-g65DR3Rvh--cfThmjlq8hAPsW4o/edit?usp=sharing ) (use Version 1). \n\n(Please note: if we approach capacity, attendance may be limited to constituents who’ve secured the attendance of their own MPP at the lobby breakfast.)\n\nRequest to meet your own MPP in your home constituency whenever available, using this template letter ( https://docs.google.com/document/d/1NqYpRWtDSztJJxB-g65DR3Rvh--cfThmjlq8hAPsW4o/edit?usp=sharing ) (use Version 2) – if you can’t attend at Queens Park.\n\n \n2) If you are unable to request a meeting with your MPP at all, invite your MPP with this template letter ( https://docs.google.com/document/d/1NqYpRWtDSztJJxB-g65DR3Rvh--cfThmjlq8hAPsW4o/edit?usp=sharing ) (use Version 3) to attend the Earth Day lobby breakfast reception at Queen’s Park, Toronto on April 22, from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. in Room 228. Let’s get as many MPPs attending as possible.\n \nNever met with an elected official before? Don’t worry! Supporting materials will be available including:\n\nA Backgrounder of talking points for you to discuss with your MPPs\nMPP information materials will be sent by the organizers to all MPPs and also shared with you for your reference.\nVirtual training session(s) on “How to lobby your MPP” will be available to registrants from 7:30-9 PM Tuesday April 14 and/or 11 AM – 12:30 PM Friday April 17 (two sessions subject to sufficient registrants both dates – see Registration form ( https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Hwi7JgkbLfnvtRWlIyiJjucsYXZji5YlFvXU88REI6I/edit?ts=69bd8345 ) to indicate your preference).
