SUMMARY:Growing Resilience In The Climate Emergency – A Climate Cafe From Coast to Coast
DESCRIPTION:This event, organized by the MHCCA Youth Advisory Board in collaboration with the Climate Justice Organizing HUB, is part of the HUB’s microgrants program. The aim is to bring people together from across so-called Canada in an online climate café to share different perspectives and realities on extreme weather events. We strive to create a brave space where individuals can comfortably process and navigate the complex emotional responses triggered by witnessing or experiencing extreme weather events.\nThe Climate Justice Organizing HUB’s microgrants program is designed to foster mutual aid projects and grassroots actions that support community-led responses to extreme weather events. Through this initiative, grants ranging from $500 to $2,000 are provided to unregistered organizations, non-profits, Indigenous groups, and individuals.\n****\nCet événement, organisé par le MHCCA Youth Advisory Board en collaboration avec le HUB pour la justice climatique, fait partie du programme de micro-subventions du HUB. L’objectif est de rassembler des personnes de tout le soi-disant Canada dans un climate café en ligne pour partager différentes perspectives et réalités sur les événements météorologiques extrêmes. Nous nous efforçons de créer un espace courageux où les individus peuvent confortablement traiter et naviguer dans les réponses émotionnelles complexes déclenchées par le fait d’être témoin ou de vivre des événements météorologiques extrêmes.\nLe programme de micro-subventions du HUB pour la justice climatique est conçu pour encourager les projets d’aide mutuelle ou les actions de mobilisation qui soutiennent les réponses communautaires aux événements météorologiques extrêmes.
