Join by Zoom from anywhere.\n\nClick here to register to attend via Zoom\n\n\nSpeakers: Youth Panel on Peace, Disarmament & Climate Justice\n\nLia is a passionate feminist disarmament activist located in Montreal, Quebec. She works as the Executive Coordinator of the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War Canada and is finishing her final year in Physics, Political Science and behavioural Science at McGill. She is one of 25 United Nations Disarmament Leaders for Tomorrow and was a delegate with IPPNW and ICAN at the First Meeting of State Parties to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons in Vienna this past summer. Lia loves listening to music, hiking and meeting new people who care about peace and disarmament.\n\n\nAt 23 years old, Kasha is the founder of The Global Sunrise Project and director/screenwriter of the multi-award-winning documentary, The Sunrise Storyteller. Kasha has been a photographer, entrepreneur, and social justice advocate for over a decade, as well as a writer, public speaker and contributor to several publications, including National Geographic Learning. Kasha is an 12x UN Youth Delegate and was selected as the first winner of the Kim Phuc Youth Peace Prize. In 2019, she was the recipient of the Diana Award and most recently selected as one of the Wonder Grantees for Sustainability by the Shawn Mendes Foundation.\n\n\nAnjali is a third-year student at the University of Toronto, studying economics and peace, conflict, and justice studies. She is an advocate for peace and human rights, with particular attention to gender equality, education, and the environment. She is currently the president of the on-campus chapter of LOVE146, an organization dedicated to ending child trafficking and exploitation. Anjali is excited to help further the mission to promote disarmament and stop war as an intern at VOW.\n\n\nSarah Rohleder is a second year undergraduate student at the University of British Columbia, a youth coordinator for Reverse the Trend Canada, and a youth advisor for Senator Marilou McPhedran through the Canadian Council of Young Feminists. n June she attended the Nuclear Ban Week in Vienna, Austria including the 1MSP for the TPNW, the Humanitarian Conference, and the ICAN Nuclear Ban Forum. This past summer she was a summer intern for the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War Canada and she is also a Girl Guide leader.\n\n\nThere is no fee to attend or participate, but donations greatly appreciated towards costs. A $10 donation is suggested but not required.\nThank you!\n\n
