SUMMARY:Mobilizing the Green Transition
DESCRIPTION:What does the fight against climate change look like when industry and policymakers collaborate?\nCollaboration across sectors is crucial in the fight against climate change, especially between policymakers and industry. Governments and companies must work together to raise the level of climate action and ambition. This means that while global climate targets approach quickly, policymakers provide clear guidance, regulations, and support, while businesses bring constructive solutions that are sustainable as well as actionable in the near term.\nIn this roundtable, co-hosted by the Embassy of the Kingdom of The Netherlands and Corporate Knights, representatives from both the Canadian and Dutch governments will share their perspectives on cross-sector collaboration in their respective countries, as well as highlight the future roadmap for Canada and the Netherlands.\nLow-carbon initiatives and investments, key industry challenges, and ideas for future government-industry collaboration will be shared by Dutch Sustainable Growth Coalition local representatives from Shell, KLM, and Philips. Finally, experiences of its members in pursuing low carbon initiatives will be shared by the Business Council of Canada.\nModerator:\nToby Heaps\nCEO, Corporate Knights\nWelcome Remarks:\nH.E. Ines Coppoolse\nAmbassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Canada\nPanellists:\nH.R.H.
