DESCRIPTION:Join us in Orleans for an imagined ribbon-cutting ceremony for a newly created “Ministry of Just Transition”. We will meet outside our local federal MP’s office and IMAGINE what a just transition means for our community – a decarbonized economy, good green jobs, affordable housing, accessible public transit, respect for indigenous rights, supporting historically marginalized communities, and an expanded social safety net with new income supports. This will be a family-friendly, non-partisan event. Everyone is welcome – Orleans residents and people from other ridings. __________________________________________________________________ Rejoignez-nous à Orléans pour une cérémonie d’inauguration imaginée pour un nouveau “Ministère de la transition juste”. Nous nous rencontrerons devant le bureau de notre député fédéral local et IMAGINERONS ce qu’une transition juste signifie pour notre communauté – une économie dé-carbonisée, de bons emplois verts, des logements abordables, des transports en commun accessibles, le respect des droits des autochtones, le soutien des communautés historiquement marginalisées et une sécurité sociale élargie avec de nouveaux soutiens au revenu.
