DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nHumber College is hosting the annual Connecting for Sustainable Futures event online, featuring Youth Climate Lab!\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\nHumber’s Office of Sustainability, International Development Institute, and Community Outreach & Workforce Development is hosting the annual Connecting for Sustainable Futures event, featuring guest speakers from Youth Climate Lab!\nYouth Climate Lab is a Canada-based, global non-profit organization that accelerates youth-led climate policy, projects and business.\nFeatured speakers:\nDominique Souris (she/her) is a designer, systems thinker and youth advocate. In her role as the co-founder and Executive Director of Youth Climate Lab (YCL), she works with a dedicated team to enable youth to create the just, climate-resilient futures they deserve. Dominique is passionate about the intersections of climate justice, social innovation and climate finance.\nJasveen Brar (she/her) is a climate educator with experience working in ocean conservation and polar policy. She has been named a Top 30 Environmental Educator by NAAEE, Top 25 Environmentalist by Starfish and holds a Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers from the Governor-General of Canada. She also serves on the Governance Board for the Canadian Ocean Literacy Council. YCL couldn’t be happier to have her on board as they enter their fifth year.\n\n\n\n\n
