DESCRIPTION:The Youth Circle for Mother Earth (YCME) project aims to create and support a cross-cultural network of young Indigenous and non-Indigenous leaders to become lifelong ambassadors for Mother Earth. The focus is on land, air and waters, which includes the natural world and its conservation, protection and restoration. Join YCME project partners to learn about their work and hear from Coordinating Circle members on what they’ve gained, learned and look forward to through their involvement in the YCME initiative.\nThe Youth Circle for Mother Earth project has been made possible by the Government of Canada, TD Ready Commitment and Ontario Power Generation.\nPartner organizations include: Ontario Nature, Plenty Canada, Indigenous Environmental Institute at Trent University, Walpole Island Land Trust\nSchedule\n• Opening welcome and introduction 6:00 p.m.\n• Partner presentations 6:20 p.m. (5-7 minutes per partner)\n• Coordinating Circle youth panel 6:45 p.m.\n• Questions, wrap-up, closing 7:15 p.m.\nTo ensure our activities provide opportunities for diverse participants, this registration form is collecting demographic information.\nWe strive to host inclusive, accessible events in a safe, ethical space that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully.\n
