DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nJoin us on September 8, 6-7:30 pm for a virtual, non-partisan debate on the environment held for candidates in University-Rosedale riding.\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\n100 Debates on the Environment: University-Rosedale, Toronto\nWhere do the University-Rosedale candidates stand on issues of the environment, a just transition, and national Indigenous healing and reconciliation?\nThe impacts of climate change are present and intensifying here in Canada: heat domes, wildfires, flooding, drought. The recent report from the IPCC painted a clear picture of a “code red” for humanity — a call for immediate, emergency action.\nFind out what commitments our University-Rosedale candidates are making to create a net zero emissions future, safeguard the environment, build a green and just recovery from COVID-19, and further national Indigenous healing and reconciliation.\nThis event is part of the pan-Canadian and non-partisan initiative, 100 Debates on the Environment, led by GreenPAC in partnership with Canadian organizations and individuals across the country.
