DESCRIPTION:\nThis event is in fundraising partnership with the Toronto chapter of The Council of Canadians!\nAttendees will be allowed into the Zoom meeting at 7:00pm, and the show will begin shortly after.\nTickets are $20, with a pay-what-you-can option available for the underemployed. Half of all proceeds will be donated to the Toronto chapter of The Council of Canadians.\n//\nWhen the pandemic hit last spring, James Gordon was in the midst of a successful tour of his one-person show, The Emergency Climate Musical: a theatrical investigation of this important issue that seems to have taken a back seat during COVID.\nFilled with original songs, compelling videos, images, stories, rants, laughter, tears, audience participation, and some concrete ways to move forward, James had been entertaining, informing, and provoking discussion with this show since first launching in 2019.\nA long-time social and environmental activist, James advocates for climate action both as a career folksinger and in his “side gig” as a City Councillor in Guelph (he’s fond of the term Poetician) and is a member of the National Climate Leadership Caucus.\nNow, there’s renewed interest in sharing the important content of The Emergency Climate Musical.
