It has also been a time of incredible re-envisioning and re-imagining of the future of our city. We’ll shine a spotlight on the organizing and visioning happening in Toronto, highlighting the contributions of workers, community organizers and movement leaders.\nAs with the Greener City Celebration in past years, we’ll be joined by special guests, entertainers, community partners and collaborators. \n\nHosted by Ali Hassan \nOnce again, our host will be Canadian comedian Ali Hassan, best known as the host of CBC Radio One’s weekly comedy program “Laugh Out Loud” and as the moderator of CBC Radio’s annual “Canada Reads” competition since 2017.\n \nSome of what you can expect on December 8th\n\nAn engaging and lively panel discussion with Toronto community organizers, thought leaders and movement builders.\nTEA will announce the recipient of the 4th annual Greener City for All Award, which is presented to a local hero that has demonstrated innovation in making Toronto an equitable and sustainable city.\n2018 JUNO Award-nominated artist Ruben ‘Benny’ Esguerra – musician, spoken word poet and community arts educator – will return with a high-energy musical performance.\nMore special guests and speakers to be announced!\n\n
