DESCRIPTION:Calling All Photographers:\nCelebrate with Water Docs the many magnificent rivers that are the lifeblood of our earth.\nOn September 27, the Water Docs Film Festival invites you to celebrate World Rivers Day by participating in our second photography contest: WATCHING THE RIVER RUN.\nShare your passion for water and rivers by submitting your own favourite photograph of a river. It can have you in it, or someone else, or simply the river itself in all its magnificence.\nWhether you are an amateur or a professional photographer, we want to hear from you and see and share your work. Entry is FREE and you could win a pair of passes to our next film festival!\n \n\nSubmission deadline: Launching on September 27, the submission deadline is October 23.\nPublic viewing and voting will take place from October 24 through October 30.\nWinning photos will be selected and announced on October 31.\n\n \nThe mission of our photo contests are to celebrate water in all its forms and showcase the outstanding work of both amateur and professional photographers from Canada and from around the world. We hope our photo contests inspire our audiences, activists, and artists to continue celebrating water and also to take #ActionForWater. The theme of our second photo contest is rivers… in celebration of World Rivers Day.\n
