DESCRIPTION:Bike For BLM TO is a bike protest in support of the Black Lives Matter Movement in Toronto.\n\nSchedule:\n5pm : Meet up @ Queens Park\n5:30pm: Sign/Poster making\n6pm: Ride\n\n*This ride is for all bikes and peoples. **BIPOC folks to the front\n***Masks are mandatory\nVision: To firmly align the Toronto Cycling Community in support of the Black Lives Matter Movement.\nMission Statement: To assemble a critical mass of cyclists in support of BLMTO, their demands, and that of our community partners working to end systemic racism in Toronto and to Defund the Police.\nGoals: Through critical mass we aim to achieve the following:\n– Strengthen awareness of and solidarity with the goals of BLMTO among the cycling community and highlight the ways in which those goals align with those of cyclists, generally as citizens of Toronto and specifically, as a group the Toronto Police have also failed.\n– Demand the City of Toronto to Defund the Police.\n– Demand the Province of Ontario look to Defund the OPP and amend the Police Services Act to give the City of Toronto more control over the Toronto Police.\n– Find alternatives to policing as it relates to cycling.\n– Support BLMTO’s calls to Defund the police: https://blacklivesmatter.ca/defund-the-police/\n– Donations in support of BLMTO\nWe ride in solidarity with #BLMTO ( https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/blmto?__eep__=6 ) #NABL ( https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/nabl?__eep__=6 ) #NoPrideInPolicing ( https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/noprideinpolicing?__eep__=6 ) and the many other organizations, groups and people leading our communities to end anti-Black racism and Police Brutality.\nIn Solidarity.
