SUMMARY:The Climate Cabinet 40: Maximize your Climate Impact this Election
DESCRIPTION:Join Climate Cabinet Action Fund for a discussion of “The Climate Cabinet 40” – the highest stakes state-level races for climate advocates to support this election cycle. While climate action at the federal level gets all the attention, state legislatures are also crucial battlegrounds in the fight against climate change. And, your dollars and volunteer hours can make a much bigger impact in a state-level campaign. We’ll walk through our analysis and how you can maximize your climate support in this election. There will be plenty of time for Q&A!\nSpeakers include:\n\nState Rep. Vikki Goodwin, Texas HD-47: Rep. Goodwin is a first-term legislator in West Texas, and is featured on the “Climate Cabinet 40” list. In her first term, Rep. Goodwin co-authored a bill to establish a Texas Commission on Climate Change.\nBob Lynch, candidate for Florida HD-116: Bob is challenging incumbent Daniel Anthony Perez, who has a Climate Cabinet score of 0 — in a district already impacted by climate change. Bob is also featured on the “Climate Cabinet 40.”\nCaroline Spears, Executive Director of Climate Cabinet Action Fund: Caroline is the founder of Climate Cabinet. She has a background in solar finance, and a masters in Atmosphere and Energy Engineering from Stanford University.\nNishant Mani, Analytics Executive and Climate Cabinet Advisor: Nishant Mani is a marketing, data, and analytics executive who has held Chief Marketing Officer positions at several successful technology startups including Yext, Dashlane, and Fabric. He is now primarily focused on climate change.\n\nCan’t make it, but still want to support these climate candidates? Donate now! \nLearn more about Climate Cabinet Action Fund.\n
