DESCRIPTION:Matt Price will discuss the core elements of the traditional membership model and how each one can shift as organizations move to a more modern supporter structure. Groups can succeed by lowering barriers to entry and connecting with supporters based on common purpose, and then cultivating consistent engagement and donations. This may also involve changes in how a group governs itself. With these shifts we’ll explore what can be gained, and what might be lost.\nEmma will give insight into Nature NB’s experience balancing traditional membership with recruiting new supporters, and will share how a shift in our approach has helped to increase support for our organization.\n
