SUMMARY:Grey to Green: Toronto
DESCRIPTION:Grey to Green is taking place in Toronto IN OCTOBER DUE TO COVID-19!\nGrey to Green will highlight new policy, design practices, and innovative products in the green infrastructure sector. Our goal is to help inform the current policy debate by making the case for a rapid and significant increase in green infrastructure investment, a trend that’s occurring worldwide.\nThis year, Grey to Green will highlight the economic impacts of climate change adaptation such as flooding and the urban heat island. Flooding affects both the individual in terms of health and well being and has significant economic impacts for society. These issues will continue to get worse as climate change progresses, but green infrastructure can help. Our cities are experiencing a greater frequency of heat waves and higher average temperatures. This has negative economic, social and healthy impacts. Quantifying green infrastructure performance helps us understand the myriad benefits of green infrastructure and determine their economic value, a crucial step in expanding public and private investments the use of these technologies.\nThe Grey to Green Conference features the latest research, industry developments, and end-users to share, learn and network. Attend concurrent sessions and networking events with industry leaders, attend training courses and workshops, and participate in tours across the GTA.\nContinuing Education: Grey to Green Toronto will be pending approval for various continuing education credits following agenda selection. As always, the Grey to Green Conferences and Events are approved for Green Roof Professional credits.\n
