DESCRIPTION:The End the Radiation on Lansdowne campaign represents a swelling of Toronto communities working to shut down the Lansdowne nuclear facility out of concern for community health and safety.\nLargely unbeknownst to the surrounding west end Toronto communities, the BWXT Inc. nuclear facility (situated at the corner of Lansdowne and Dupont) has quietly applied for a ten-year operating license renewal.\nThe Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission has expressed a financial interest-driven recommendation that the license be renewed.\nTogether, we voice our strong opposition prior to and for the upcoming public hearings on March 2-3, 2020 held by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission.\n
