SUMMARY:Emergency Action to stop RCMP invasion of Wet’suwet’en territory
DESCRIPTION:The time is now to take to demand an end to the invasion of Wet’suwet’en land by RCMP and Coastal Gaslink!\nCome prepared for action. We will meet and rally at Spadina and Bloor and then travel together by transit to another location. If you can travel by car, feel free to bring your car to drive and meet us at the next location.\nThis is a longer, somewhat physically demanding action (stair climbing, walking 30 minutes, outdoors). If that doesn’t work for you there will be an option to stay at the meet-up place to collectively distribute flyers to passerbys.\nWe will depart at 10:10 sharp. Warm and waterproof clothing recommended!\nThis week, a convoy of armed RCMP tactical units invaded sovereign and unceded Unist’ot’en Territory to enforce Coastal GasLink’s injunction. Unist’ot’en Matriarchs and lands defenders have been arrested and forcibly removed off their lands. Residents of the Healing Centre still face removal. RCMP remain on the territory, and have allowed CGL workers to begin clearing sites for work.\nShow the Canadian government that we are with the Wet’suwet’en and will not allow the invasion to continue.
