DESCRIPTION:The Intercept invites you to a special event in New York City hosted by Senior Correspondent Naomi Klein, author of the coming book “On Fire: The (Burning) Case for a Green New Deal,” and headlined by trailblazing climate activist Greta Thunberg, author of “No One Is Too Small to Make a Difference.” Greta and Naomi, together for the first time, will confront our climate emergency and discuss the emerging cross-generational, transnational movement — including people of all races, classes, and backgrounds — that is our best hope for a sustainable planet.\nBoth a celebration of youth activism and a reflection on how to break through the political and economic barriers preventing meaningful climate action, the night will also feature other young activists who are working to secure a just and thriving future for many generations to come.\nThis event takes place days before the Global Climate Strike starting Sept. 20 and the U.N. Climate Summit on Sept. 23.\n
