DESCRIPTION:ACTION DETAILS\nThe event will be held on 7 September from 3:30 pm until 9:00 pm and will be located adjacent to the festival at Simcoe Park (just outside the CBC). The vision for this event is to give Extinction Rebellion and by extension the grassroots climate movement a firm presence at TIFF’s opening weekend. To accomplish this, we hope to put on an event with music, art & performance. A joyful, playful, yet serious event that will be an excellent first exposure for Extinction Rebellion Toronto to both TIFF attendees and anyone who happens to pass by. It is an event that will put centre stage XR’s belief in a restorative, participatory, and do-it-together culture.\nHob-nob with utterly ordinary folks — and celebrities if they feel like coming.\nListen to great music.\nTalk about how we can save our planet by mobilizing 3.5% of the population in sustained non-violent civil disobedience.\nEXTINCTION REBELLION ACTION CONSENSUS\nIf you participate in XR actions, you need to abide by this action consensus: https://rebellion.earth/act-now/action-consensus/\nEXTINCTION REBELLION’S KEY DEMANDS\n1.
